Reserva Natural Heliconia
A floating eco-lodge deep in the Amazon, three and a half hours by boat from Leticia, where the Yavarí River marks the border between Brazil and Peru.
About the reserve
The Heliconia reserve sits in the Amazon trapezoid, just outside Leticia, on the Yavarí River that forms the natural border between Brazil and Peru. Silence, jungle sounds, exotic smells, stars on the water, magical sunsets and pure oxygen.
The lodge is La Kurupira, a floating cabin: there is no phone signal, no internet and no television at the reserve. Only nature.
The journey
- Day 1 · Leticia Our guide meets you at Leticia airport and takes you to the dock. From there, a boat ride of about three and a half hours along the Amazon and then the Yavarí River to the reserve.
- Arrival You reach the eco-lodge and, after lunch, the activities on this page become available depending on the plan, the guide’s judgement and your own preferences.
- Last day After breakfast, return to Leticia with free time to buy crafts, then transfer to the airport.

Two activities a day are recommended, and activities can be repeated. The final choice is agreed with the guide according to the plan and the group.

Prices are per person in Colombian pesos, valid for 2026. The rate depends on how many people travel together and is subject to change without notice. An English translator is included in the price if requested in advance.

Booking and payment
A 20% advance payment confirms your reservation. After we check availability we send you a secure Tab Travel payment link by WhatsApp or email. The remaining balance is settled with our team before arrival. If you cancel up to one week before the start date, the advance is refunded in full.
