selva-completa-tres-dias

During this four-day experience, you will have the opportunity to explore the immense Amazon rainforest that stretches on both sides of the majestic Amazon River, unhurriedly. Join an exciting guided tour led by indigenous locals and immerse yourself in an authentic Amazonian adventure, exploring the high and floodable jungles of this captivating Amazon region

Day 1: The tour starts at 9:00 am from Hostel Casa de las Palmas in Leticia, Colombia. You’ll be driven to the Tacana River for a two-hour jungle hike to a Huitoto maloca. After lunch, there’s a hike to the Colombia-Brazil border for wildlife spotting. Back at the maloca, learn about the mambe process and the significance of the coca plant for the Huitoto. In the evening, join a guided nocturnal jungle walk. Spend the night in the maloca in a hammock.

Day 2: On the second day, you hike back from the jungle to the road, where a van takes you back to Leticia. After a short stop in the hostel, you embark on an exciting boat journey along the Amazon and Yavari rivers, reaching a native lodge in the heart of the flooded jungle between Brazil and Peru.

At the lodge, you will enjoy lunch and have time for a short rest. Afterward, we venture out to swim in the lakes of Sacambu, followed by exploring the rivers in search of pink and gray dolphins. The day concludes with a vibrant sunset from our boat. Back at the accommodation, you’ll have time to relax before dinner and then engage in a nighttime activity, either caiman spotting or a walk through the flooded jungle, depending on the river level. The first night is spent at the accommodation in a bed with a mosquito net.

Day 3: After breakfast, we embark on a quest to find an ideal spot for fishing, with the exciting possibility of catching piranhas. After fishing, we return to the accommodation for lunch and a bit of rest. In the afternoon, you’ll enjoy a walk or boat ride (depending on the river level) of two to three hours through the lowland jungle in search of wildlife and flora. The night is spent in a jungle camp, sleeping in a hammock with a mosquito net.

Day 4: After breakfast, we visited a small village to observe the Pirarocú, the largest river fish, and monkeys in the process of being released. The visit lasts from two to three hours. We return to the lodging for lunch and prepare for the return to Leticia, with the option of navigating the Gamboa River or taking a four-hour walk to the Amazon River (depending on the river level). The tour concludes in Leticia between 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm, depending on the weather during the return journey.

Note: Please be aware that the sequence of activities might be subject to change based on weather conditions or decisions made by the guides to ensure the best possible experience and safety.
